JFK and Jacqueline Bouvier

John F. Kennedy, then a US Representative, met Jacqueline Bouvier at a party in 1951. As John said, "I leaned across the asparagus and asked for a date." They married in 1953 with a HUGE wedding. John and Jackie had a daughter, Caroline in 1957, and John Jr. (better known as John-John) was born two weeks after John was voted president in 1960. They remained married despite difficulties (think Marilyn Monroe) until John's tragic death in 1963.
I think they are the most glamorous White House couple ever. I've already blogged about my love for Jackie! John was a fascinating president, and inspired a new, young generation of people.
